When you're as big as Google, you're bound to be all over the news. Well recently, Google has been pushing Gmail, experiencing major bugs with AdWords, been getting hounded by Aaron Stanton, and has made some major changes to how it reports Google Reader subscribers. All this has had me dwelling on just how much we all depend on the very same leviathan we criticize day-in and day-out.

Now, I know that I've come off as loving them in the past by saying that they're not pirates and that we shouldn't expect them to pander to users, but that's not entirely the case. Actually, what really got me thinking was the Google Master Plan video that Andy Beal brought to my attention last week.
