When you think of the brains behind operations like Google, Yahoo!, and Apple, you no doubt think of big bling. As Search Engine Land reports, however, these guys are being paid much less you'd think:

There is this theme in the technology world where high-profile executives get an annual salary of $1. Apple's Steve Jobs has been earning one dollar for years. Google's CEO Eric Schmidt and co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin earn $1 each, as well. Even, Yahoo's CEO Terry Semel makes a whopping $1 per year.

This, of course, doesn't mean that they're hurting for cash. As the post goes on to explain, there's other ways for these execs to pull in the big buck, but you'll have to check it out for yourself.
