Hi Chris,

Nice Linkbait :)

True and not true. SEO is a bit more than what you described.

One Simple example to proof my point:

As far as I know is Google not going out to the owner of websites with great content, which would benefit Google's users, because the site was developed a bit less "search engine friendly" or worse "search engine accessible" and fixes the problem that GoogleBot can crawl the site properly. If there ever was such a support team, let me know :).

One of many examples. The most important one though.

I know what you mean, Carsten. There are plenty of quality sites out there that aren't ranking when they should.

I was just trying to illustrate why SEOs have a bad rap with Google: namely because there are plenty of them working to promote sites that commercially oriented.

Poorly optimized sites, on the other hand, are probably one of the few reasons that Mahalo isn't completely useless... ;)

a) You need money to make money and b) you spend money on things, if you get something out of it that affects the bottom line in return, unless it is for pleasure.

SEO is not exactly what most people would consider "pleasure" though :)

Welcome to the world of capitalism, those are the rules of the game, even for Google. :)

Like I said in the video: I get it, money makes the cyber-world go round.

Interesting one.
i guess people can argue on it but giving your point of view is good.

Yeah...! I agree on that one.

Funny video man!

I'm glad you liked it. :)
