Blog Review: Virtual Marketing Blog

Disclosure: This is not one of my usual blog reviews. This review is part of an exchange through a service called ReviewBack.com. Request for review exchanges can be made here.

Operated by Dave Rigotti, Virtual Marketing Blog focuses on all facets of online marketing. Topics range from from PPC and SEO to branding and viral marketing, and Dave is drawing upon about 8 years of online marketing experience, so readers can feel assured that they're not being bulls**tted. And for those who are looking for some hands on resources that they can actually apply to their online marketing activities, Dave also offers readers free marketing e-books for download and a list of internet marketing tools that are essential for any serious affiliate marketer.

All in all, Dave focuses more on how-to content that readers can actually apply, rather than editorial commentary. Even the interviews he conducts are with established members of the community. Some of the more interesting posts I've come across are:

  • Optimizing Websites for Mobile Phone Traffic
  • Get Indexed and Ranked in 24 Hours on Google
  • Interview with Rand Fishkin, CEO of SEOmoz
  • As much as I would endorse Virtual Marketing Blog, it is operated by a human being, and no one is perfect. In other words, I think a few things could be done to make it bit better. For starters, I'd be interested to see how Dave's 8 years of experience translates into video. Another point that Dave could improve on would be design. The site is a bit plain, but then again, I'm guilty of that too.
