Wordpress is, in my opinion, the blogging platform of choice. It's free, open source, and overall more powerful than any of your other options. For example, if you're thinking of affiliate marketing with a blog, you'll notice that in our 6 simple steps to blogging we endrosed Wordpress. This has to do with its open-sour ce nature having fostered a plethora of plugins and themes, none of which are necessarily essential to do cool stuff like embed a video. In fact, here at SearchAnyway we're poised to replace Movable Type with Wordpress as soon as we're done with some server upgrades and maintenance.

Even if you don't plan on using a blog as your primary affiliate marketing tool, then you should still consider having one for SEO reasons. The SEO benefits of blogging alone means that installing a blog on a subdomain of your affiliate marketing portal and using it to churn out contextually relevant content just makes good business sense. After all, the SEO power of internal links and anchor text is irresistible.

Anyways, if you've been thinking about using Wordpress or already are, then this video cip is for you. It's extremely long, but what it lacks in brevity, it makes up for in authority, and as Vlad notes, it's well worth watching,even if you do not use WordPress.
