Linkup 2007/10/04 -- Biz Dev, ReviewMe, and Online Advertising
Having a stressful day over here, folks. So here are a couple interesting posts along with some excerpts to whet your palate. You should check them out. They're worth it.
ShoeMoney
You want to be rich? Then start talking shit! -- Guest blogging for Shoemoney, Pronet Advertising's Neil Patel has some unconventional business development advice:
If you are looking to make more money, an easy way to do so is to start picking targets and email them about why they are making a mess of themselves and/or company (hopefully in a nice way). Just for a second think about all the people with money that you want to get to. Chances are, they have thousands of people kissing their ass and asking for their money. If you take the same approach you are going to blend in with all the other ass kissers, so try talking a little shit instead.
My Affiliate Journey
I Am Down To ReviewMe -- The affiliate blogger par excellence, Vlad, is coming to more and more revelations about the UGC-affiliate-programs that he's been using:
Not so long ago I have canceled my account with Pay Per Post, and just this morning I have send a request to cancel my account with SponsoredReviews. This leaves me with only with ReviewMe. The question is for how much longer.
Marketing Pilgrim
30% Increase in Online Advertising in 2008 -- Despite certain economic downturn in the US economy, online advertising is nonetheless poised to keep growing:
The US housing market is affecting advertising spending too. But again, online advertising is the bright spot. This is according to ZenithOptimedia. They downgraded its 2007 forecast for offline advertising which was already in the single digits. Online advertising is projected to rise 30% in 2008.
